On 20.1.2020 based on information, one male pax from Theni(TN) arrived from Abu Dhabi via Bahrain by flt GF 068 was intercepted at exit. On examination of check in bag one emergency light was found inside which appeared unusually heavy. On dismantling 23 no’s of ten tola gold bars each weighing 116.5 grams, totally weighing 2.68 Kg valued at Rs. 1.11 Crore were found concealed in battery of emergency light. Same recovered &seized under Custom Act, 62. Passenger was arrested.
